Scope

This symposium will cover issues on syntheses, analyses, physical properties, and device applications of nano-scale structured functional materials. Ultra-thin films, nano-dots and tubes, heterostructure of semiconducting, ferroelectric, ferromagnetic materials, and their surface and interface related phenomena are the main focus but advances in fabrication and characterization techniques are also vital to exploit new devices. Covered (but is not limited to) topics of the symposium are:
Nano-hybrids / composites of functional materials, including synthesis of nanoparticles and clusters, graphene and related materials
Self-organization of functional nano-objects, including nano-scale manipulation
Microscopy and characterization of nano-structures, including nano-instrumentation, SPM, and novel probe techniques
Novel electric functions of nano-structured materials for electronic devices
Novel magnetic functions of nano-structured materials for spintronic and magnetic applications
It dedicates to creating a stage for exchanging the latest research results on a variety of materials properties and sharing the advanced research methods for emerging nanotechnology devices.

Topics

  1. Hybrids, Composites, Ultra-thin Films of Functional Materials, Including Carbon Nano-tubes
  2. Self-organization of Nano-objects and Nano-scale Manipulation
  3. Microscopy and Characterization of Nano-structures, and Nano-instrumentation
  4. Transport Phenomena in Nano-materials and Electronic Devices
  5. Spintronic and Magnetic Nano-materials and Their Application
